Hi Paul,
I have a 1993 UK model Savage.
The owner's manual says use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher.
I see Mike M says 87 octane. Perhaps different years models or different market's versions use differenly rated fuel.
And what's Peter Eide talking about - girl's bike ?????? He should have paid more attention in the English lessons at school. It's girls' bike, with the ' after the s. Girl's bike means a bike for just one girl where girls' bike means a bike suitable for all girls.
